Thanks to Fido alert, my dogs were found within minutes! They are both microchipped and had a tag with my number, but the person who found them was curious about the QR code on the fido tag and scanned it. Because of that I was notified immediately.
It was traumatic but also eye opening because we decided after that to allow him free roam to be indoor outdoor kitty and he's been much happier ever since and actually been more calm and alert and he's decided to be the guard dog kitty for our yard and loves to come in and cuddle afterwards!
